Short post ahead. Another pretty uneventful week has come and gone. Actually, it was a pretty long week... I had a cold, I didn't like my lessons and some of the English teachers were out of town for work so I didn't have teaching assistants in a lot of my classes. Blah. But at least next week is Thanksgiving so I'll get to do a fun holiday lesson with my students!
Oh, I forgot to mention in my blog last week that the school had a fire drill and it was pretty intense. The alarms went off and the students left and gathered on the field and they had fire fighters talk to the students and they actually lit a big fire and put it out with the fire extinguisher. My school fire drills were certainly never that exciting! It was interesting.
Well it has been a pretty chill weekend. On Friday Lindsay and I checked out a new mall and Wal Mart that opened pretty close to us. We found a waffle shop! It was yummy. We also discovered a store that sells DVDs for 12 yuan which is about 2 dollars. 2 DOLLARS!! Good movies too. Lindsay bought Guardians of the Galaxy because we haven't seen it and we wanted to make sure these were legit. We tried it out when we got home and it was completely fine! Yay China!

On Saturday, we went into town with Chris and Evan to try and find a night market and also a Papa Johns that we didn't know existed. We didn't find the pizza or the shopping... but we explored a new part of town a little bit so it was fun. Then we stopped back at the mall to show the boys the DVD place and we all stocked up on some cheap movies! This mall also had doughnuts so we got some dessert.
We don't really have any plans squared away for Thanksgiving. William (the American teacher that teaches at the boys campus) had mentioned having a big dinner but we haven't heard if that was still happening. If not, we'll probably just go out to eat and get some pumpkin pie from the American coffee shop.
Anyways, that was my week. Hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
